Transferring Securities to the Foundation

Procedures for Transferring Securities to
The George Washington Foundation
(formerly Kenmore Association Inc.)

1. Please inform the Kathleen Carroll in the Advancement Office of your plans to make a gift at (540) 373-3381 ext.26.

2. Have your broker/agent transfer the securities to:

3. Should you find it necessary to transfer an actual stock certificate, a completed stock power, with a guaranteed signature, must accompany the certificate if it is not in the Foundation's name. If the certificate has already been put into the Foundation's name, no additional paperwork is necessary. The certificates can then be sent to the Foundation, to the attention of the Advancement Office.

4. Please avoid opening an account with your agent under the Foundation's name without prior conversation with the Advancement Office.
