These group workshops (minimum, 10 children), appropriate for ages
4-5, are interactive and hands-on. Each lasts approximately 1 hour. The cost is $5.00 per child. Each child must be accompanied by an adult but there is no charge for the adult.

Note: Most workshops can also be conducted at preschool facilities. The cost is $5.50 per child. Contact Vickie Hayes for additional information. Also, please note, these workshops are for groups. Summer Discovery Workshops are available for individuals in June, July, and August.
Corn, Canoes, and Buffalo Fur: ~ George Washington wasn't the first person to walk the land at Ferry Farm. Archaeology has revealed fascinating American Indian artifacts. Children learn about Indian culture through crafts, music, and games.
George Washington and the 18th Century ~ Through crafts and play, children learn about George Washington's life at the family farm. They experience some of the things young Washington would have done in the 1700s.
I Dig George ~ An archaeological experience geared to young children. Participants dig, wash, and mend artifacts they find in our educational digs on the property. (Available June 15 through August 15.)
Gingerbread Workshop ~ A wonderful holiday tradition for 4 and 5 year olds! Participants will enjoy cookie decorating, hands-on crafts and a story time. Workshop includes a children’s tour of the Ferry Farm Gingerbread House Exhibit. Available in December only. Special holiday price for this workshop - only $3 per child.
History Through the Arts ~ This is a sensory pre-school tour of the 18th century through art, music, dance, and theater. Children will enjoy drawing, acting, and dancing, and many other fun activities as they use their five senses to learn about life in the 1700s.
