Tour Guides

Tour guide at Historic KenmoreDo you have a love of history and enjoy sharing it with others? Consider joining George Washington's Fredericksburg Foundation as an interpretive tour guide.

Enthusiastic and flexible guides are needed to conduct tours and workshops at Historic Kenmore and George Washington’s Ferry Farm. Several part-time positions are available and the pay is $7.00 an hour. Colonial or civil war history, natural environment, hearth cooking, or education background preferred, but not necessary. Training is provided.

School Guides

School tour guide teaching childrenDo you enjoy working with children? Do you have an interest in history and a love of teaching? Consider becoming a school tour guide.

Guides are needed to lead tours and workshops for school and other youth groups at Historic Kenmore and George Washington’s Ferry Farm. This is a seasonal, part-time position. Pay is $7.00 an hour. Colonial history, civil war, natural environment, or education background preferred, but not required. Training is provided. Read more about our educational programs.
