Fun Fact

A mother groundhog and her 4 cubs live adjacent to the site. The cubs are very curious about the dig and frequently break into our storage area and steal materials.

Now that the rain has stopped, the students have been assigned to teams and digging partners. Team 1 (The Sharks) will uncover the 10 by 25 foot stone cellar situated on the slope of the flood plain terrace. Team 2 (The Jets) will uncover the northern portion of the stone cellar disturbed by the early 20th-century ice house.
