Back of postcard reads: Sitting room, converted into Col. Fielding Lewis' office. Col. Lewis died in this room and George Washington is supposed to have stayed here when he visited Kenmore. This room has been furnished by Mrs. Crawford Toy Johnson, Regent for Alabama.
Note: It is now believed that this room was always Fielding's study during his lifetime. Fielding did not die at Kenmore.
