William Key Howard purchased Kenmore in 1881 and the Howard family remained in the house until 1914. The Howards were avid boaters, owning several boats over the years. This photo shows W.K. Howard at left and a sleek speedboat named "P.D.Q." which, according to the caption on the photo, was launched October, 1909. The gentleman on the right is identified as W. G. O'Donnell.
